PB & Ivy

I don't know why, but Ivy loves to rub peanut butter in her eyes! I'm unsure how she did it this time. But today I gave her a bite of my sandwich and although I never saw peanut butter on her hands, after rubbing her eyes the lids began to swell.
It happened once before and a little Benadryl cleared it right up, but not this time. After I gave her the medicine I laid her down for a nap and she woke up looking like this:
Poor baby. She's fine when she just eats the stuff, but once it's in/on her eyes . . . it's scary.
Millie also broke out in a rash the first time she ate peanut butter and then I wouldn't let her eat if for 6 months. I wonder if it's just a skin allergy.

Oh your poor little baby girl, that's so sad. Those food allergies can be so scary, I hope the swelling goes away soon.

poor sweet girl. she looks so miserable. PB is sort of a common allergy in little kids. she may outgrow it. hopefully she does, because a life w/o PB would be :(

Those pictures are so sad. She doesn't even look like herself. I bet you were scared to death!

Oh no! What sad little eyes! That's so interesting that she can eat it no problem but if she rubs it in her eyes she gets all puffy. I guess the nice thing is knowing what causes it but I don't think that would give me much comfort if my baby was all swollen. =(

Oh my heck--that doesn't look like Ivy at all! I wish you had an answer for that one. Good luck!

Hi Tamber - I haven't been on your blog in a while and it was fun to catch up - you and your hubby are such a cute couple (even keeping the magic alive with the hand placements! Way to stay young and in love!) Millie reminds me so much of you. Thanks for the updates!
