Losing My Mind

I did something so dumb today that has convinced me that I am seriously losing my mind! Read on.
So as most of you know: I enjoy shopping . . . particularly online. And occasionally I'm unsure of my size, so I order multiples so I can try them on and decide which to keep and which to return. (You all do that right?)
Well, a couple of weeks ago I purchased a skirt in two sizes (basic black A-line -- nothing special, but I needed one). Neither fit perfectly but this morning I finally decided which to send back and took it to the UPS Store. Then I ran a few other errands and took the girls to visit their grandma. So it wasn't until much later (3:45 p.m.) that I noticed the return slip still sitting by the computer. I had boxed up the skirt without it and now Banana Republic would get its skirt back and have no idea whose account to credit the money!!!! So I was flipping out a bit and trying to decide what to do. After I calmed down a little, I made a call to the UPS Store to see if it had been shipped out yet. Lucky for me, it hadn't! So the guy said I could come in and search for it, but I only had one hour before it would be shipped out so I had to hurry. I took the girls to my sister-in-law (thanks Katie) since I didn't want them to hinder the search, and I was off. I was really worried that I would be searching through UPS trucks loaded with packages but fortunately it wasn't like that. All the packages from the day were loaded on two dollies in a hallway. I found my box with little difficulty and got the slip put in; but whoa what a close call! Seriously people, losing my mind.

Tamber if that is the worst thing, you are not losing your mind. I would literally forget my head. I think I will have Alezhimers before I'm fifty if I make it long. I'm glad you did find your box.

Oh Tamber, you make me laugh! I'm always apprehensive about buying clothes online. Your system of buying multiple sizes makes sense, but then I think of the hassle you just had mailing the other skirt back and I am fully capable of doing at least 10 times the damage. The fact that you thought up to call the UPS store makes you a genius in my eyes!

Do we get a link to the skirt?

Ha ha! That sounds so like something I would do. I'm glad you did it first because the humor if it will help me remember to put the return slip in when I return something tomorrow! Glad you found it in time and congratualtions on a new skirt. Online shopping is a gift from the heavens if you ask me!

That is so funny! I agree with Bre we get more dumb the more kids we have:)
You really aren't that bad I'm sure I would do it if I actually shopped online.

I hate when I do stuff like that! I ship porbably 50 packages a week this time of year- and sometimes I wonder about the goodies people find. For example- USU extension in Ephraim received a bottle of shampoo and leave in conditioner with the graduation gowns... know idea whose or how that got in there! I am so happy you are coming down! Your girls are invited too:) can't wait to see you

LOVE shopping online--it takes much less time than making a trip to the mall with a baby in tow! It's nice to know I'm not the only one who orders multiple sizes of something I must have, either! It can be risky business though, since you have to remember to get it back to them in a certain amount of time, pay shipping, blah, blah, blah. It's not for the faint of heart, seriously. No, you're not losing your mind, just living dangerously. Embrace the adventures in the name of fashion!
